Following a shutdown for four weeks due to Coronovirus/COVD-19 precautions, the landscaping works in Rectory Lane Cemetery recommenced on 27th April. The decision to restart was taken following a discussion between the Project Manager, the Convenor of the Rectory Lane Cemetery Project, the Chair of the Trustees of the Friends of St Peters and the owner of the landscaping business.
The landscaping team of three people are adhering to Safe Working practices and the public are not currently allowed on site. We are keeping a close eye on the situation.
Before the lockdown, fantastic progress had already been made, and it is very exciting to see the cemetery landscape taking shape, despite this setback. Below is a selection of photographs of the work so far (please note that some photos were taken before the lockdown).
You can keep up to date with our progress and with the ever-changing Coronoavirus situation on the new Rectory Lane Cemetery website.
Thank you to everyone for your patience and continued support.
