Make Your Own Lantern for the Heritage Open Day

31 August 2016

seeing-the-light-2016-posteThe climax of the Heritage Open Day event on Sunday September 11 will be a magical Lantern Parade accompanied by the Mississippi Swamp Dog Jazz Band and St Peter’s Church Choir. Everyone is invited to join in this special “son et luimière” event. The lantern procession will begin from 19.50 outside St Peter’s church, walking up to the Cemetery. Meet outside Tescos between 7.15 and 7.50 to listen to the jazz band ahead of the procession.

Why not try making your own paper lantern? It’s great fun for children and adults! All you need to do is download and print off the lantern template, and then follow the simple instructions on the sheet.
