As part of the UK-wide Heritage Open Days weekend, Rectory Lane Cemetery in Berkhamsted was opened for a special event, Seeing the Light, celebrating the history and natural beauty of this hidden gem. The event included heritage tours, workshops, a Victorian horse-drawn hearse and live performance of ethereal folk music. The day culminated with a magical son et lumière lantern procession, accompanied by New Orleans funeral jazz and St Peter’s church choir.
